Good afternoon MCHS families. As we prepare for the start of the 2025-2026 school year, there are a few new laws that were passed during legislative session that we want to pass along to students and families…- SB 181…traceable communication- SB 19…moment of silence/reflection- HB 208…use of cell phones Pictured below, you will see our plans to be in compliance with each of these new laws. As always, we appreciate your continued support. We look forward to seeing our students on Monday!!  #TogetherWeWin- Mr. Faulkner

Students/Parents/Guardians: We are pumped to get the 2025-2026 school year rolling next Monday.  Our teachers and staff have been working hard this summer to prepare for the upcoming year; I’m so proud of their work and consider it a blessing to work with them each and every day.The motto our school tries to live by remains “Together We Win.” This doesn’t mean that we always get exactly what we want or that things will always go our way. It does mean that to reach our full potential, we need the help and support of others.  From students to teachers to staff to community, the better we support one another, the better results we will see.  I am extremely thankful to live in a community that supports its school, its students, and its teachers/staff.  We ask for your continued prayers and support as we enter a brand new school year.We will likely experience many great days and a few not-so-great days. We will screw up, we will probably make an unpopular decision or two, and we won’t always see eye-to-eye.  But, we will always do our best everyday to love, encourage, and support our kids and serve our community.        For those who may be new to our school or new to our social media page, we will do our best to send out an informational post each weekend (usually Sunday morning, but sending earlier this week) as a way to communicate the events of the upcoming week. We will also send the same information to parent email addresses that you provided during online registration. Our goal in doing this is to help everyone stay up-to-date with what is going on at Mason County High School. My prayer is for a healthy, safe, and productive school year filled with learning opportunities and memories that will last a lifetime. May God continue to bless our students, families, faculty, staff, and community!A few notes for the first day/week of school:1. MCHS doors will open as our first buses arrive on our top lot (approximately 7:25AM each morning).2. A rough drawing of the MCHS campus traffic flow is pictured below.  We hope this helps with the daily commute, especially on the first day of school!3. Campus traffic is a little crazy on the first few days of school. Please account for this and know that we will be understanding as well.4. The MCHS student drop off area (at the beginning of the day) and student pick up area (at the end of the day) are at the same location.  See diagram attached. 5. All students (including STEAM and MCCMS students) should be dropped off at MCHS on Monday morning (8/25). 6. When students arrive on Monday (8/25), they should grab breakfast and report directly to their homeroom. Teachers/Staff will be available to help students find their way.7. We will work during the first week of school to distribute Chromebooks to those who couldn’t make it to Business Days.  Please make sure you have completed/updated online registration. 8. Starting on Tuesday (8/26), students who start their day at STEAM or MCCMS should be dropped off at those locations.9. Please see the flyers attached below that outline our main forms of communication (MCHS Living Calendar, email, social media, MC Schools app, etc).  Have a great finish to your week!  Go Royals!!  #TogetherWeWin-Mr. Faulkner

We are super excited to welcome our students back next Monday for the 2025–2026 school year. Throughout this week, we will be posting/sharing information in an attempt to make the transition into a new school year as seamless as possible for our families. Mason County is launching a new communication platform to better connect our schools and community — and to stay in compliance with SB 181. We’re excited to take this step toward more efficient, transparent, and accessible communication. Stay tuned for more details! #TogetherWeWin
