Class Ring Meeting for Sophomores:  There will be a class ring meeting for all sophomores on Tuesday, April 22 at 9:00 am. 

Yearbook Photos
Senior Superlative and Senior class pictures will be taken on April 24th.

Track Team Awards
Congratulations to the track Teams, the boys team won the Fleming Couny Invitational friday and the girls team was 2nd.

Career Fair:  As part of our new career focus, MCHS will be hosting a career fair on Wed., April 30 at the Carmeause Complex.  This event is for  grades 8 through 12.   Local businesses and industries have been invited to talk with our students about various careers in their field and will have interactive exhibits as well.

Senior Art Showcase:  MCHS Senior Art students are hosting a Senior Art showcase from March 29- May 15 at the Kentucky Gateway Museum in downtown Maysville.  The students will also be having a special opening reception for this showcase on Saturday March 29 from 1-3 pm.  Admission is free to the museum and refreshments will be served.  

Prom:  The 2014 MCHS Prom will be on May 10.  Students attending the 2014 MCHS prom will be able to begin purchasing tickets on March 19. The cost for each ticket is $25.

Students Place at FFA Regional Speaking Competition:The following FFA Members placed 1st or 2nd on Friday at regional speaking competitions and will be representing Mason County at the FFA State Convention June 10-12th.  Mason County was third overall with the most students going to compete at State within our region

Eastern KY University Dr. Rodney Gross Diversity Scholarship:  Must have a 2.5 high school GPA with extracurricular support in athletics or other involvement or a 3.0 GPA without extracurricular activities.  Applications are available in the scholarship basket in the office or see Mrs. Ring, who can get you a copy as well.

VFW Scholarship

Simon Kenton Post 2734 Ladies Auxiliary Veterans of Foreign War will award six $1000 scholarships to students from Mason Co., St. Pat, Ripley, Robertson or Bracken Co.  Seniors must have a 3.0 GPA.  Applications are available in the office.  Deadline April 30, 2014.


Woodmen of the World Scholarship

$250 Scholarship. Applications are in the scholarship basket in the office or see Mrs. Ring. Deadline May 15, 2014


Farm Bureau Scholarships:  The deadline to apply is Feb 28 2014.  Applications are available in the MCHS office.

Mason-Bracken County Bar Association 

14th Annual Law Day Essay Scholarship - $500 -- Deadline May 1,2014

FFA Alumni Tractor Auction:  The Mason County FFA Alumni will be auctioning a restored John Deere 420 tractor on April 22 at the FFA Alumni BBQ dinner at MCIS beginning at 5:30 p.m.
